The Brief

For News Cafe, South Africa’s energetic all-day cafe, cocktail bar and entertainment venue, I developed a bold, contemporary menu system that captures the brand’s signature “it’s about the vibe” attitude. The design pairs a striking deep-blue cover featuring fashion-forward photography and oversized typography (“Taste the Continental Vibe”) with clean, highly legible interiors that organise breakfast, finger foods, salads, burgers, grills and drinks into clear, scannable sections. Strong typographic hierarchy, generous white space and a confident blue-and-white palette create a premium yet approachable feel that encourages guests to linger, explore and order with confidence.
