The Brief

While working at ODA in Durban, I designed the packaging system for RTE Snacks’ On the Go Edamame Bean range. The process began with developing a playful green-bean character as the central brand mascot, then giving each flavour its own personality through distinct accessories, colour coding and supporting graphics (Almond Munchy Mix, Berry Power Punch and Mango Blast Blend). From there I built the full pouch dielines, refined the kraft-material aesthetic, and created vibrant, textured background treatments that differentiated the variants while keeping the range cohesive. The final designs balance approachable fun with clear product hierarchy, resulting in a bold, shelf-ready packaging system that feels energetic and distinctly on-brand.
